Every building fire will eventually go out, but the fires [problems] that burn within our departments can last for years and cause tremendous damage. The Leader’s Toolbox is a lively and fast-paced interactive discussion about the challenges we face as leaders of people in emergency services. We’ll discuss traits of human behavior which will help us to understand why people do, and don’t do, what we want them to. We’ll look introspectively at our personal leadership styles and examine how our behaviors toward others affect their performance. We’ll discuss why some people can make leadership look so easy and effortless while others struggle with it daily. Through facilitated discussions, the students bring forth their most difficult leadership challenges and they’re sure to leave with leadership tools that work. You won’t want to miss this program!
